Spain are now entering their final hours of preparation ahead of Sunday’s World Cup final against Argentina.

Luis de la Fuente will be passing on the final instructions as his Spain side look to deny Lionel Messi and Argentina their second consecutive World Cup.

The two sides will meet in New Jersey at the MetLife Stadium, with the players able to take in the New York culture in the days since their respective semi-final victories.

Lionel Messi & Lamine Yamal are the stars of their nations but aside from them, who could be a matchwinner in the World Cup final and why?

Whilst some of the players will be heavily involved in media duties, they will also be keen to see exactly what New York has to offer.

Lamine Yamal is one of the poster boys for this summer’s World Cup, but he has not quite been able to deliver on the pitch.

Ahead of the final, he has been spotted in the heart of New York City as he’s been sampling some of the street food offerings.

What Lamine Yamal was spotted eating in New York City ahead of the World Cup final

Yamal was spotted visiting famous sneaker store Flight Club on Friday, with a team of security surrounding him.

However, he also made a stop at one of the street food vendors, where he was believed to be eating some form of halal offering.

For New Yorkers, eating from street vendors is known to provide some risk and especially when eating just hours out from a World Cup final.

To say that New Yorkers were concerned for Yamal after seeing the footage would be an understatement.

New Yorkers are worried for Lamine Yamal

Yamal has not had the best tournament individually, but he is now on the cusp of starting in his first-ever World Cup final.

That is if he makes it to Sunday fit and healthy, with New Yorkers worried about the Spaniard eating from a street vendor.

‘Not a smart move before the final…’ said one New Yorker.

‘Just don’t eat the lettuce!’ added another.

Yamal has only returned one goal and one assist in his seven appearances at this summer’s tournament.

Another is worried that the street food could put Yamal at risk of missing the final on Sunday: ‘Hope bro doesn’t get food poisoning.’

‘I guess he doesn’t want to play the final,’ said another.

‘Gotta be the WORST idea getting street food in that city before the WC final,’ someone replied.

With the biggest game of his career just hours ahead of him, another added: ‘Damn that’s a risky move.’
