Leeds United fans have loved seeing the club rally around Mateusz Klich at a difficult time for him.
Support for Klich
Klich gave away a penalty in injury time as Leeds lost to Chelsea 3-2 at the weekend.
He has since faced criticism online from some Leeds fans, which has led to him deleting his Twitter account.
Whites followers have since defended their Polish midfielder though, and the club also showed their support for him.
Leeds tweeted out a ‘Mateusz Klich’ appreciation post on social media late last night celebrating his time at the club.
And Leeds fans were delighted to see their official account backing their player in a difficult moment.
Unfair criticism
We simply can’t understand why any Leeds fans would be critical of Klich.
Granted he made a mistake at the weekend and it was a costly one, but there are few players who have contributed more in their squad since Bielsa came in than Klich.
He was instrumental in getting them back to the top flight and he remains one of the first names on the Leeds’ team-sheet.
Klich will likely be backed to start later this evening, when Leeds take on Manchester City, and we expect he will be given a rapturous reception by the away support.
There are few better fan-bases at sticking by their players than Leeds.
And while some on Twitter have clearly hurt Klich, the match going supporters are almost certain to show him how loved he is later this evening.
