I expected Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United to win against Sean Dyche’s Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday, and the Red Devils did.

Manchester United got the better of Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Portugal international attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes put the Red Devils in the lead from the penalty spot in the 12th minute.

England international forward Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 to Erik ten Hag’s side from the penalty spot on 36 minutes.

Everton had chances, but Sean Dyche’s side could not take them. I think that United deservedly picked up all three points from the match.

Praise for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho vs Everton

Former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager Alan Pardew was following the match for talkSPORT, and he was impressed by the display produced by Alejandro Garnacho, a player Kevin Nolan rates highly.

Garnacho started the match and played for 83 minutes. He won both first-half penalties.

The 19-year-old Argentina international winger was a real problem for the Everton defenders during his time on the pitch.

Although the winger could have scored himself, there is no doubt that his pace and skills caused Everton all sorts of problems.

Pardew told talkSPORT: “Garnacho has been brilliant, he’s such a talent this boy. If he can improve from where he is now he can be a really important player for Manchester United. He’s had some really nice moments today.”

My View: Alejandro Garnacho is a rising star for Manchester United

In my opinion, Alejandro Garnacho is one of the best young players in the world and is a key figure at Manchester United now.

Garnacho is just 19 now, but he has established himself as a regular in Erik ten Hag’s first team now. And, he is only going to get better. TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent is a fan.

The teenager has made 20 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils so far this season. The Argentina international has scored five goals and given three assists in those games. He is a gem.
