Youssoufa Moukoko has been the centre of so much speculation in recent weeks.
The German wonderkid’s contract is up at the end of the season, and there is a lot of doubt over his future at Borussia Dortmund.
As with any player in this sort of situation, rumours have been emerging left, right and centre, and according to certain reports, he’s refusing to accept Borussia Dortmund’s latest offer.
However, despite those reports circulating far and wide, Moukoko has now come out to personally deny these rumours.
To say that Moukoko wasn’t happy about this would be an understatement. The striker claimed that he will never accept such a lie, stating that he was shocked to see these reports coming out.
Moukoko unhappy
The Dortmund ace addressed the recent reports about his future.
“I will never accept such a lie and I’m still shocked – it’s a shame,” Moukoko said – as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
“My full focus is on the second half of the season with Borussia Dortmund. I will never be bigger than the club”.
What does the future hold?
It seems as though the ‘brilliant’ striker hasn’t turned down such an offer, but his future is still very much up in the air.
With his contract expiring, the player’s options are open and with Liverpool and Chelsea on his trail, he could well be arriving in the Premier League before too long.
In our view, the best thing for Moukoko’s future may be to commit himself to Dortmund for a little while longer. After all, the Bundesliga club have been brilliant at bringing through young talents in recent years such as Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham, and Moukoko will surely want to follow in their footsteps.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Moukoko.
