Jose Enrique has warned Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool about ‘playing around’ in their pursuit to sign Southampton midfielder, Romeo Lavia.

Following Southampton’s relegation to the Championship, a number of their players have become hot property for those in the Premier League, including teenager, Romeo Lavia.

Liverpool are pushing to sign the midfielder this summer and Enrique made it clear on his Instagram story that they should ‘go all the way’ if they want to sign him.

Most recently, the Reds have watched a second bid for Lavia being turned down, so what next? The player has been dubbed ‘very special’ by Manchester United’s, Jadon Sancho Daily Mail).

Do Liverpool wait until the final few days of the window when the 19-year-old might start getting a little frustrated and would then try to for a move?

Or do they just refuse to pay over the odds for the player and walk away, Enrique is of the mind that they should put money on the table.

“Agreed, if we want the player (Lavia) we should go all the way and get (him),” said Enrique. “Stop playing around.”

Liverpool needs more quality in the midfield

Last summer, in terms of midfield players, only Arthur Melo was signed on a loan deal in what was a pretty poor transfer window for the club and this might go down the same road.

Yes, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have signed, but they joined when Jordan Henderson and Fabinho were still here.

At least, another big-name needs to come in, perhaps a Moises Caicedo, alongside Lavia, or else, it will feel like the club is short in that department.
