Pedro Porro is yet to make an appearance for Tottenham since his £40m move from Sporting Lisbon on transfer deadline day.
Spurs fans are eager to see their new No.23 in action following his outstanding displays in Portugal across the first half of the campaign.
Porro scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 26 appearances for Sporting Lisbon from his right wing-back role, and Cristian Stellini has now highlighted one thing which “could be a boost for” Spurs when he is given his debut.
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian – who is currently taking media duties after Antonio Conte underwent gallbladder surgery – believes Porro’s enthusiasm will be a huge help for Tottenham when he is eventually named ahead of Emerson Royal in the starting XI.

As quoted by Football London, the 48-year-old said: “He can bring very good skill, he can bring experience. He’s a young player with great experience. Technically he’s a fantastic player.
“His enthusiasm to play in a new league, a new team, could be a boost for us when we decide to use him.”
It comes after respected journalist Dean Jones claimed that Tottenham believe Porro is capable of transforming their season.
He told Give Me Sport: “That was more of a club signing. This was somebody I’m told was very much a Conte signing and a man that the management team felt could transform their season, so I do expect to see him soon.”
Surely, despite a recent improvement in Emerson Royal’s performances, it won’t be long until we see Porro handed his Tottenham debut.
Pedro Porro really could transform Tottenham
We can’t help but agree with Tottenham’s views on Porro – he could be a game changer down the right flank.
Harry Kane has just become Tottenham’s all-time top scorer with a remarkable 267 goals to his name, and he could add many more to that tally than he would have with Emerson Royal at right-back now Porro is here.
For example, just look at the type of deliveries the Spain international is capable of whipping in from the right flank – it is the stuff of dreams for Tottenham’s No.10, and he will gobble these chances up with ease.
Hopefully, we get to see Porro in action soon, as he really could provide Spurs with a “boost” as Stellini states.
