Sunderland have snapped up Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson – but not everybody is quite so impressed.
Pundit Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter in order to criticise Sunderland boss David Moyes over the signings of Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson from Everton.
The Black Cats needed major reinforcements during the January transfer window to boost their chances of avoiding relegation to the Championship, but the biggest deal they were involved in was the sale of Patrick van Aanholt to Crystal Palace.
Sunderland manager David Moyes looks dejected
Manager David Moyes did manage to make three signings last month, reuniting with Joleon Lescott, Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson having worked with all three at Everton.

Veteran centre back Lescott was signed by Moyes at Everton in 2006, spending three years under the Scot before leaving for Manchester City, and having been released by AEK Athens in November, the 34-year-old has joined Sunderland on a free transfer.

Just a day before the transfer deadline, Sunderland completed a double swoop on Everton, as they landed left back Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson – two more players that Moyes signed during his time at Goodison Park.
Costa Rican ace Oviedo will replace Van Aanholt at left back, reuniting with Moyes having joined him at Everton in a deal from FC Copenhagen in 2012, whilst midfielder Gibson, 29, joins having also been snapped up by Moyes in 2012.
Both Oviedo and Gibson should contribute heavily for Sunderland, but one pundit is far from impressed with the signings, and has taken to Twitter to criticise Black Cats boss Moyes for his moves.

Stan Collymore suggested that the two deals again prove that Moyes has a ‘very narrow’ scouting knowledge having again signed players he has worked with previously, with Donald Love, Paddy McNair, Steven Pienaar, Adnan Januzaj and Victor Anichebe all fitting the same criteria at the Stadium of Light.
