Reported Tottenham target Alexander Nubel has confirmed that he will stay with AS Monaco next season despite reports that the goalkeeper could return to Bayern Munich.
In an interview with Bild, the 25-year-old German announced that he will remain with the Ligue 1 side next season to fully complete his two-year loan spell in Monaco.

Nubel joined Monaco on loan last summer from Bayern on a two-season loan deal, though strong performances for the Ligue 1 side have opened up the possibility of a permanent move to another club in Europe, namely Tottenham.
As reported by Bild, Fabio Paratici is a fan of the former Schalke 04 star, with Tottenham looking for a long-term successor to Hugo Lloris in the coming transfer windows.
However, it now looks like one player who won’t replace the Frenchman this summer is Nubel, with the keeper announcing his intentions of staying with Monaco for one more season.
The German said: “The decision is that I will play for AS Monaco next season. My loan contract here is two years. If Bayern have something else in mind, we have to talk about it but for me, it’s not an issue at the moment.”
Paratici will be fuming over Nubel’s decision to stay at Monaco

Nubel has found his feet with Monaco this season, and at 25, the keeper could have been a solid successor to Lloris at Tottenham, yet these latest comments will do nothing but infuriate Paratici and Spurs.
After all, replacing Lloris for the coming years is seen as a huge job for Tottenham, and Nubel ticks many boxes for what the north London side would want in a new keeper, something Monaco will now have access to for another season.
