- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Tottenham Hotspur are open to selling Eric Dier this month with Sergio Reguilon and Djed Spence also expected to depart the Premier League giants, HITC Football understands.
The trio have not been part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans this season.
Sergio Reguilon and Djed Spence were sent out on loan. Both had their spells cut short by Manchester United and Leeds respectively this week however, with neither doing much to suggest that a fresh start should be forthcoming at Tottenham.
Eric Dier, meanwhile, has played only four league games under the former Celtic boss.
Postecoglou has even opted to field full-backs Ben Davies and Emerson Royal in the centre of late, leaving Dier on the bench. And with the experienced England international set to become a free-agent in the summer, this is Spurs’ final chance to make any sort of a profit on a player who joined in a £4 million deal from Sporting Lisbon in 2014.
HITC Football understands that Tottenham would be open to letting Dier go once Radu Dragusin arrives in a potential £30 million deal from Genoa. Spurs sources are ‘optimistic’ that the Romanian powerhouse will be a Tottenham player over the next few days.
Dier is free to open talks with a host of foreign-based suitors. Bayern Munich – who also like Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah – are among them. The one-time Everton man has interest from France, Italy and Spain too. A return to Portugal cannot be ruled out either.

The trio cost Spurs £52 million combined
Tottenham also expect both Reguilon and Spence to be gone by the time February arrives. Reguilon, who moved to England in a £28 million deal from Real Madrid, is most likely to return to La Liga, having previously represented Atletico and Sevilla as well as Los Blancos.
Spence, meanwhile, is set to head back to the Championship.
Despite a difficult spell at Leeds, Spence will still have his fair share of admirers after that outstanding spell under Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest.
