- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Chelsea have told Trevoh Chalobah he is free to talk with interested clubs, with Premier League teams admirers of the Stamford Bridge defender.
HITC Football understands that, while Chelsea would ideally prefer to cash in on the academy graduate, the London giants have accepted that they may have to green light an initial loan deal for a player who has not kicked a ball this season due to injury.
Trevoh Chalobah is yet to feature since the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino.
And that looks unlikely to change, HITC Football is informed that Chelsea have told the 24-year-old he is free to open talks with interested parties during the January transfer window.

Trevoh Chalobah free to leave Chelsea
There is interest from AC Milan, while Roma – managed by ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho – have opened talks.
Ditto Bayern Munich, the German giants in the market for defensive reinforcements amid links with Manchester United’s Raphael Varane.
HITC Football understand that, while Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Bournemouth are admirers and have enquired about Chalobah in the recent past, the likelihood is that he will become the latest homegrown Chelsea talent to pack his bags and leave the Premier League behind, following in the footsteps of Jamal Musiala (Bayern), Samuel Iling-Junior (Juventus) and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (Borussia Dortmund).
Chalobah shot to fame back in 2021, producing a performance Rio Ferdinand described as ‘unbelievable’ on his Chelsea debut in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Villarreal. The former England under 21 international was a regular under now-Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel at the Bridge, with a reunion now on the cards in Bavaria.
Bayern Munich could reunite Chalobah with Tuchel
It remains to be seen, however, if Bayern will pay the sort of fee Chelsea are looking for.
Chelsea has a £50 million asking price for Chalobah last summer which was not met.
HITC also understand that Bournemouth are in advanced talks to bring in Oscar Zambrano from LDU Quito.
