There has been a slight delay in the proposed loan deal for Jadon Sancho to leave Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund, HITC Football understands.

Sources confirmed to HITC Football on Thursday that the Manchester United No.25 was ready to jet off and reunite with Borussia Dortmund after personal terms were agreed – although there has now been a hitch.

So, what is the latest on Jadon Sancho? Let’s take a look…

Sancho waits as finer details still need to be ironed out

Well, the England international remains ready to hop on a private jet and meet up with Borussia Dortmund at the Bundesliga outfit’s winter training base in Marbella.

HITC Football revealed on Thursday that the German giants expected Sancho to officially be their player by the weekend.

However, that timeframe may now be quite unrealistic as Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund continue to discuss the smaller details of the loan, having reached a broad initial agreement.

Sources have also told HITC Football that Sancho’s return to the Signal Iduna Park is still expected to materialise and there is nothing “untoward” about the delay.

Sancho was ready to fly to Marbella on Friday morning, although it now remains to be seen exactly when the 23-year-old will link up with Borussia Dortmund.

The Camberwell-born winger remains enthused by the proposed loan move, and has already told his old pals at Borussia Dortmund about his excitement at returning to the place where he developed into a £73m forward.

Manchester United prepare for third exit

When Sancho’s loan move to Borussia Dortmund goes through, he will become the third player to leave Manchester United just days into the January transfer window.

Donny van de Beek has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, while Sergio Reguilon has returned to Tottenham as his season-long deal was cut short by Manchester United.

That has made Erik ten Hag’s squad even weaker, so be sure to keep an eye on developments at Old Trafford to see if any incomings arrive.
