Victor Wanyama has said that Tottenham Hotspur should appoint Chelsea-bound Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager.
A report on Saturday claimed that Spurs had come to the unanimous decision not to bring back the Argentine to N17 after all.
However, Victor Wanyama, who played for Tottenham Hotspur under Mauricio Pochettino has said that his former club should employ him as their manager once again.
Wanyama says the Tottenham manager job should go to Pochettino
Ex-Tottenham midfielder and boyhood supporter Jamie O’Hara blasted Daniel Levy for not bringing the former PSG boss through the door, pinpointing that their supposed bruised relationship is the reason why.
Alan Brazil, who met the club legend also revealed that he was gutted that he had not even been offered the job after Antonio Conte’s exit.
Victor Wanyama has now blatantly said that Mauricio Pochettino, branded as the ‘best manager in the world’ by Andros Townsend via talkSPORT should be the next Tottenham coach and not Chelsea, as that looks to be the case.

“I get it and I get how the fans feel and Poch should be the manager of Tottenham next season, not Chelsea”, he told London World.
“I can understand the frustration within the fanbase because they know Pochettino gave everything and I believe if there are two offers on the table between Chelsea and Tottenham, then the Pochettino I know will choose Tottenham.”
HITC View: It isn’t as black and white as that
While Mauricio Pochettino would still likely do an impressive job as Tottenham manager, as Victor Wanyama implies, there are other coaches in the market that would also make for brilliant appointments.
Names like Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann instantly spring to mind, which is why it is not a cardinal sin that Daniel Levy reportedly did not feel the need to reach out to the 51-year-old.
Ultimately, the aforementioned managers are excellent tacticians and could build long-term projects from the ground up.
With Spurs perhaps wanting to turn a new leaf, why not do so with a new man in charge instead of rekindling their romance with Pochettino?
