Xavi Simons opened the scoring against England and Roy Keane labelled his strike from outside of the box as ‘brilliant’, as he told ITV Sport.
The former Manchester United captain highlighted how Simons, who is a Paris-Saint Germain player, ‘outmuscled’ Rice to win the ball back and then shoot from distance.

“He (Rice) gets outmuscled really (by Simons), he takes a bad touch and then he gets muscled out of it,” said Keane.
“Then, you are hoping for a bit of help from your teammates and he doesn’t get it – Simons, you have to give him credit. It’s a brilliant strike. You look at the goalkeeper, maybe the pace of the shot just beats him. The keeper gets a touch on it, but there is too pace on it.”

The 21-year-old was on loan at RB Leipzig last season, but he is officially a PSG player where he has only made 11 appearances for the French club.
Sources have told HITC that Arsenal eye Simon’s signature, but the £50 million star wants a different club.
