Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on to Arsenal new-boy Leandro Trossard for his sumptuous display against Fulham in his side’s 3-0 victory on ‘Vibe With Five.’
The £90,000-a-week man registered an impressive 3 assists for Mikel Arteta’s side on Sunday, with Alan Shearer, Martin Keown, Eden Hazard and William Saliba all blown away by his performance.
Reacting to Arsenal getting another win under their belt against Fulham, Rio Ferdinand reserved special praise for Leandro Trossard.
Rio Ferdinand lauds Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard
Since joining the Gunners in January, the Belgian international has fit in like a glove, becoming a regular starter in the side.
Speaking on his YouTube channel after Arsenal defeated Fulham, Rio Ferdinand was awestruck by just how brilliant Leandro Trossard was.
“Trossard, I think has been a masterstroke signing. We can talk about loads of signings during the season but I think he’s one, gives you [Arsenal] that depth in those wide areas up front, you had Martinelli and Saka producing miracles all year but who was going to come and effect the games if one of those was injured? 3 assists in a half, I think it was.”

“Only Saka and De Bruyne have more assists than him.”
“He was the one player at Brighton where I was surprised he hadn’t gone earlier. Every time I watch him, he does something in a game. We were talking about wide players not taking risks a minute ago, this guy takes risks. He’ll get it, he’ll give it, he’ll play one-twos, he can dribble and he can see a pass.
“And evidently on the weekend, 3 assists. First player in Premier League history to make a hat-trick of assists in the 1st half of an away game.”
“So, he is doing everything and more of what Arteta would have wanted of him as a new signing in the halfway stage of the season. Massive impact.”
It’s hard to poke holes in what Rio Ferdinand said as Leandro Trossard proved once again against Fulham how splendid a signing he has been for Arsenal.
