Rio Ferdinand has hailed one Premier League midfielder, who has shone at Euro 2024, as the best conductor in the game.
The 2024 European Championship in Germany has been a mixed tournament with some exhilarating games followed by some that failed to inspire.
As England prepare to face Spain in the final this weekend, praise has been given to the two sides with Rio Ferdinand ken on praising Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
Not only has the former Atletico Madrid midfielder become one of the most important players for City but also for the Spanish national team with Rodri making a huge difference to the team.

Ferdinand full of praise for Manchester City’s Rodri
Spain are preparing for a vital final against England at the 2024 European Championships, and Rodri has become one of the most important players for the national team this summer.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football, the former Manchester United and Leeds United defender was asked about Rodri and his importance for Spain.
“He is the best conductor in the game,” Ferdinand said. “I think he’s actually the most valuable player right now in football.
“Rodri just looks like he’s just above everybody, maturity. He looks almost like the teacher on the pitch and the others are just the pupils. That’s what it feels like to me. He has got a real calm authority about him in every aspect of his game.”
If England are to have any chance of winning Sunday’s final, the Spanish midfielder will certainly need to have an off day.
Rodri happy at Man City despite Real Madrid attempts
As mentioned, the midfielder is not only becoming a vital cog for his national team but is already arguably the most important player for City, too.
Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal has admitted he has attempted to tempt the midfielder to the Bernabeu ‘every day’.
However, the midfielder himself spoke of his happiness at playing at the Etihad Stadium so it appears he will stay at the club.
