According to The Mirror (06/06, p68), Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott is wanted on loan by Watford after their promotion to the Premier League.
It’s claimed that other clubs have also registered an interest in signing Elliott, but it’s Watford seemingly leading the race.
How good was Elliott last season?
Elliott spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers as Liverpool looked to get him more first-team action.
The 18-year-old was superb, hitting seven goals and 11 assists in 41 Championship games.
Stewart Downing branded Elliott ‘frightening’, and he may already be prepared for Premier League action.
What has Elliott said?
Elliott may only be a teenager, but he has made it clear that he thinks he is good enough to get into Liverpool’s team next season.

Liverpool do need more attacking help, and Elliott may be an option to cut in from the right flank onto his left foot – just like Mohamed Salah.
What is Jurgen Klopp’s stance?
That’s unclear in terms of an official comment, but Goal recently claimed that Klopp wants to give Elliott a chance in Liverpool’s pre-season preparations.
It’s likely that Klopp will watch Elliott this summer ahead of a decision on his immediate Liverpool future. With Watford waiting in the wings, there seems to already be a Plan B for the winger.
