The Mirror reported on Tuesday that the Hornets had seen two offers turned down by Burnley, the first worth £8 million.

And according to Sky Sports, the 26-year-old could cost up to £18 million if he moves to Vicarage Road – including add-ons.

Gray is out of contract at Burnley next summer and recently switched to Jorge Mendes’ agency, which also represents Watford head coach Marco Silva.

The Wolverhampton-born player has scored nine goals in 26 Premier League outings for Burnley, and previously played for Watford’s local rivals Luton Town before moving on to Brentford.
