Watford’s manager shares an agent with Gray, which could give them the upper hand in their pursuit of the Burnley man, who has also been linked with Everton and West Ham United.
The Mirror reports that Watford have seen two bids turned down for Burnley striker Andre Gray.
While the value of Watford’s latest offer remains to be seen, it is claimed their initial £8 million approach was ‘rejected out of hand’.

Nevertheless, the Hornets are said to be ‘leading the chase’ for Gray, who has been the subject of enquiries from Everton and West Ham United (Daily Mail).
One thing that could work in Watford’s favour is Gray’s recent switch to Jorge Mendes’ agency, which also represents new Hornets boss Marco Silva.
The Wolverhampton-born player has scored nine goals in 26 Premier League outings for Burnley, and previously played for Watford’s local rivals Luton Town before moving on to Brentford.

Everton are still thought to be chasing another goalscorer, however West Ham completed the signing of Javier Hernandez at the end of last month.
Can Watford prise Gray away from Burnley, despite alleged Everton and West Ham interest?
