According to a report by The Athletic, Tottenham were so impressed by Oliver Skipp’s performances at Norwich that they considered recalling him from his loan last month.
The young midfielder seems to be getting praise from Norwich fans on a weekly basis, so it’s no surprise to hear that Spurs considered bringing him back into the fold.
However, as we all know, it was ultimately decided that he would play out the remainder of this season for Daniel Farke’s side as they continue their quest to be promoted to the Premier League.
Skipp has flourished at Norwich lately, and it was only earlier this month that Farke described him as a ‘top player’.
He’s due to return to Spurs in the summer, and while Norwich may be keen to retain his services, this update makes that possibility seem rather unlikely as Tottenham look to have big plans for him.

Leaving Skipp at Norwich seems to have been the right decision, he’s settled in well in Norfolk and Tottenham have an abundance of midfield options that they’re currently struggling to rotate as things stand.
It’s encouraging to hear that the youngster has his admirers in north London though, and this update seems to suggest that there are big things lined up for him in the future at Spurs.
Skipp is certainly a player Tottenham fans should be keeping an eye on.
