Tottenham have been dealt a blow as Samuel Iling-Junior, sold by Chelsea in 2020, agrees a new contract with Juventus until 2027.
What’s the story?
Well, Spurs are said to be interested in signing the England Under-20 international, who left Chelsea in 2020 to join Italian giants Juventus.
That was according to Tuttosport in Italy, who claimed that Tottenham were monitoring Iling-Junior’s situation with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
However, the north Londoners may now have to look elsewhere.
Calciomercato believe the 19-year-old has agreed to stay in Turin until 2027 following a breakthrough in negotiations, despite interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Iling-Junior has burst onto the scene this season with some stunning displays for Juventus, including one outstanding performance in the 4-3 Champions League defeat to Benfica.
As you can see above, the teenager has a wicked cross on him, and appears to be an incredible technician.
The Juventus No.43 can play as a left wing-back, while also being capable of making an impact on either flank as an attacker.

Iling-Junior isn’t the only player Tottenham want to take from Juventus in 2023.
Spurs are also believed to be interested in signing Weston McKennie from the Italian giants, and have even held talks over a deal – according to Tuttosport.
Interestingly, Fabio Paratici – Director of Football at Tottenham – signed the American from Schalke 04 during his time on the recruitment team at Juventus.
