Ibrox club Rangers have reportedly received a boost in their quest to bring Frank Lampard to Ibrox.
What’s the story?
The Guardian reported this week that Rangers are considering appointing Lampard as a replacement for Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard has left his managerial job at Rangers and has moved to Aston Villa.
And now Rangers have received a boost.
BBC Sport and The Daily Mail are among the media outlets who are reporting this afternoon that Lampard has decided to pull out of the Norwich City managerial race.
TalkSPORT reported yesterday that the Englishman was set to become the new Norwich boss.
However, it now seems that potential move is off.

Could Frank Lampard to Rangers happen?
This sudden twist regarding Lampard leaves the door open for the former Chelsea and Derby County boss to move to Rangers.
Rangers are reportedly going to hold talks with Giovanni van Bronckhorst this weekend.
However, at this stage, Lampard should still be considered a candidate for Rangers.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp described his ex-England international teammate Lampard as someone who would be “a great manager” on Sky Sports Premier League (7:36pm, November 7, 2021).
Lampard guided Derby to the Championship playoff final and then led Chelsea to the Premier League top four.
