As you may have heard, Everton are close to re-signing Idrissa Gueye after wrapping up a £33m deal for Amadou Onana.
The Senegal international is nearing a return to Goodison Park, after the Toffees agreed a fee of £8.4m to bring the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder back to Merseyside.
Now, thanks to iNews, we have been given some insight into what Everton plan to do next.
What’s the story?
Well, it is said that Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell will attempt to sign a new striker after Gueye is announced.
iNews believe there is still money in Everton’s budget to make more additions, and the next plan of action is to find a new frontman to help Salomon Rondon shoulder the goalscoring burden, which has been placed on him after injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Discussions with Chelsea over a deal for Armando Broja are described as ongoing in the report.
Here he is impressing in a cameo appearance against Everton on Saturday evening.
However, the Toffees face competition from Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid for the Albania international.
West Ham and Newcastle are also trying to sign Broja, following his impressive season-long loan at Southampton last season, where he scored nine goals in 38 appearances.
Everton finally making smart decisions

In our view, Lampard and Thelwell are doing a great job at Goodison Park this summer, despite a slow start.
The signing of Dwight McNeil was a sensible pickup – although he must score more than he did at Burnley – while it was wise of the Toffees to focus on strengthening their core.
James Tarkowski and Conor Coady could prove to be one of the best defensive pairings outside the top six, while the midfield duo of Onana and Gueye could also strike fear into the opposition.
Should a new striker arrive as well, it would be the icing on the cake for Everton – hopefully, a deal can be done soon.
