According to Marca, Real Madrid are following the progress of Raul, who Leeds United reportedly want at all costs.

Leeds United approach for Real Madrid legend Raul

Earlier this week, AS reported that Leeds want to appoint Real Madrid Castilla manager Raul as their new head coach following the sacking of Jesse Marsch.

Marsch was relieved of his duties at the Premier League club earlier this week.

Leeds are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

AS claimed that Leeds had made contact with Real Madrid legend Raul over taking over the first team.

However, the 45-year-old former Spain international striker turned down the chance to become the new Leeds boss.

According to AS, Leeds made an offer to Raul to take charge of the first team.

The Premier League club want(ed) to appoint the 45-year-old ‘at all costs’, but the former Madrid and Spain international striker rejected Leeds.

Raul reportedly does not want to leave Real Madrid Castilla now and does not want to make a wrong move in his managerial career.

Real Madrid following Raul’s progress

Marca are now reporting that Madrid president Florentino Perez is closely following how Raul is doing in the youth team.

Carlo Ancelotti is the current first-team manager at Madrid, who are identifying potential replacements for the Italian in the future.

And Raul is among the candidates.

Now, we know that Leeds are a big club, but Madrid are the biggest club in the world and Raul is a legend.

There is no way that Raul would leave for Leeds when he has the chance to manage Madrid in the future.
