Leicester City and Southampton are keen on the Mali international.
A report from the Mirror this morning claims that the Foxes believe they have stolen a march on the Saints in the race to sign Udinese centre-half Molla Wague.
Saints in for for 21-year-old Frenchman?
The 25-year-old is actually owned by Spanish side Granada, but has spent more than two years on loan with the Italians.
And the Mirror claim that Leicester intensified their interest in Wague after the turn of the new year, with Claudio Ranieri becoming increasingly concerned about his side’s defensive frailties.

They have already shipped 37 goals in 22 Premier League outings, and are worryingly sitting in 15th spot in the table, just five points clear of the relegation zone.
And Wague would be an ideal accusation for the Foxes, to help shore up their leaky defence.

He is a classy operator, and has been capped 20 times by Mali throughout the course of his blossoming career.
He has, however, only made six appearances for Udinese this season.
Why has Roberto Carlos warned the Spurs board?
And reports claim that his move to the King Power Stadium would be a loan deal initially, with a view to a permanent switch at the end of the season.
