Legendary left-back Roberto Carlos raved about Spurs full-back Danny Rose, during an exclusive interview with football website Squawka, and explained how important it will be for the Tottenham hierarchy to ensure that they make him feel wanted, or risk losing him.

And Carlos spoke to Squawka, while promoting Star Sixes’ July tournament at London’s O2 Arena, offering a message for the Spurs board in regards to the 26-year-old England international’s future at White Hart Lane:

“Danny Rose is really fast, no? A good player. It’s just that it’s a different style of football. But, from the Tottenham games I’ve seen, Rose is a player that is evolving a lot, developing a lot. Eventually he could play in a different country, especially if the president doesn’t give him a big contract because clubs will come and definitely want to buy him.”

Rose has fully established himself as a vital player for both club and country over the past 18 months, and he must surely now be considered as one of the best left-backs in world football.
