Leeds are now interested in signing Inter Milan target Jesus Vazquez in 2023 after a clause in his contract became active.
That is according to Plaza Deportiva, who believe Jesse Marsch is plotting a move for the 19-year-old as he struggles to receive enough game time at Valencia.
Leeds want Jesus Vazquez
Well, the Spanish news outlet believe there is a clause in Vazquez’s contract at Valencia which allows him to leave in 2023 if he fails to receive a certain amount of minutes.
The threshold has now passed, and having played just 149 minutes of action in La Liga so far this season, it is said that the teenager is free to leave the Mestalla.
It means Leeds have a genuine chance of signing Vazquez, although it sounds as if Inter Milan are going to pose some serious competition.

Plaza Deportiva believe the Italian giants are preparing to make an offer to take the left-back on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign, with a €7m (£6m) option to buy in the summer.
Interestingly, the story adds that Inter Milan are keen to find a similar player to Robin Gosens, amid doubts over the Germany international’s future.
Leeds & Inter Milan could both end up happy
In our view, all parties could end up winning in this transfer saga, as Leeds could make a move for Gosens if Inter Milan end up winning the race to sign Vazquez.
Marsch needs a new left-back at Elland Road, and Calciomercato believe Inter Milan are ready to sell Gosens after he struggled to adapt to life at the San Siro.
Therefore, even if Leeds do end up missing out on Vazquez to Inter Milan, it would open a window of opportunity to sign the German left-back, who the Italian giants would be happy to sell should they secure themselves a replacement in the young Spaniard.
Keep an eye on this situation, as Leeds look to improve their left-back department in 2023.
