Tottenham and Everton must have each other’s numbers on speed dial because a lot of transfer rumours are floating about around the two.

It’s been well-documented that Spurs want to sign Richarlison this summer, well, they are trying to go one better in expressing an interest in Anthony Gordon as well.

Whilst all of this has been going on, it has also been claimed that Everton would like to take Harry Winks on-loan, but the English midfielder isn’t the only one who has been spoken about.

Well, the idea of the Merseyside club signing Tanguy Ndombele, Jack Clarke and Matt Doherty have also been spoken about, according to 90min.

It seems as though Spurs want their possible deal to sign Richarlison and Gordon to centre around players swaps, but surely Everton won’t allow that to happen?

Richarlison is a key figure for the club, he scored six goals in his side’s last nine Premier League matches last season as they survived by the skin of their teeth.

Those were important goals in difficult moments and the Brazil star showcased his worth when it mattered most.

Then there is Gordon, a local lad, who had a breakthrough campaign last time out, as he took his game to another level when Frank Lampard took charge.

Someone like Gordon is well ahead of Clarke, who has failed to make the grade in north London since signing from Leeds back in 2019.

It’s understandable that Tottenham are trying to find new clubs or get certain players off their wage bill – Ndombele would be one of the main ones.

The Frenchman cost a club-record £54 million (BBC Sport), and within months of Antonio Conte being in the Spurs dugout, he loaned out the midfielder to Lyon.

Even though Ndombele returned to familiar ground, and his former side had the opportunity to sign him on a permanent basis this summer, they opted against it, which just goes to show how his loan spell at Lyon went.

For Everton, losing Richrlison might be something they just have to accept, but getting a low transfer fee, and players instead, is something which should be a big no-no.

And whilst the Toffees aren’t exactly dancing in the skies regarding their financial situation, surely they can keep hold of Gordon because his possible sale just won’t go down well with the Goodison Park faithful.
