Everton are reportedly in talks with Burnley over a deal for defender Michael Keane.
According to The Mirror, Everton are locked in negotiations with Burnley over a shock late deal for Burnley’s star centre back Michael Keane.
The Toffees have added three new faces so far this month, with Morgan Schneiderlin and Ademola Lookman joining the first team after arriving from Manchester United and Charlton Athletic respectively, whilst Anton Donkor has joined on loan from Wolfsburg, and will play for the Under-23 side.

The January transfer window is now into its final day, and Everton fans are keen to see another new signing arrive before the deadline, with one possible deal in the pipeline.

Keane, 24, joined Burnley on a permanent basis from Manchester United in January 2015 after spending four months on loan at Turf Moor, and he not only played a key part in the Clarets’ promotion last season, but has also excelled in the top flight this season.
Keane’s superb displays were rewarded with a call-up to the England squad in October, and whilst he’s still awaiting his international debut, it seems like only a matter of time.
With just 18 months left on his contract at Burnley, many expected Keane to leave Burnley in the summer regardless of their Premier League status, but Everton are now trying to convince Sean Dyche’s men to sell now in a blockbuster deadline day deal.

Keane would, if signed, then compete compete with Ramiro Funes Mori, Mason Holgate and Ashley Williams for a spot in Koeman’s defence, and the report even claims that Phil Jagielka won’t be allowed to leave – even if Keane does sign today.
