Italian outlet CMW claim that Inter Milan have reduced their £44million valuation of Denzel Dumfries to a much more affordable £26million amid reports that Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in him.

Dumfries, 26, has been exceptional for Inter following his move to the Nerazzurri from PSV. Since his move to Inter in 2021, he has clocked up 65 games in all competitions – having a hand in 17 goals. Unsurprisingly, clubs are keen.

The Netherlands international is likely to be one of a number of Inter stars who need to be sold. The club’s finances are not in the best shape. CMW say Arsenal are ready to pay £31million for Dumfries. They also say Spurs could do a swap.

Dumfries, for Emerson Royal – a move that would surely be one of Fabio Paratici’s best-ever transfers. CMW have also said in the recent past that Chelsea may offer Mateo Kovacic in a swap. Rudy Galetti says Manchester United are keen.

So, all four Premier League heavyweights are interested and the rumours continue to circle Dumfries. His slightly below-par start to the season has seen Inter decide to reduce his asking price from £44million, to a cheaper £26million.

Inter reduce Dumfries valuation to £26million; Tottenham, Arsenal keen

Dumfries is spoilt for choice. Four of the Premier League’s best clubs, and other sides from around Europe, could chance their arm in January. That value could of course change, if he shines for the Netherlands at the World Cup.

Tottenham need to replace Emerson Royal, who was jeered off the pitch against Leeds. Manchester United have Diego Dalot in good form, but Erik ten Hag may feel better is needed. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order.

Chelsea have Reece James to come back, likely to close the door on Dumfries choosing Stamford Bridge. Arsenal star Ben White is shining on the right, but he is a long-term solution – given he is naturally a centre-back? Decision time.
