According to SPORT, Borussia Dortmund now want to sign Arsenal target Memphis Depay, who has been offered to Newcastle.
What’s the story?
Well, the German giants are in need of a replacement for Sebastien Haller, who is unfortunately set to undergo chemotherapy for a testicular tumour.
In their hunt for a forward, Borussia Dortmund have got in touch with Barcelona over a deal for Depay, who is in talks with the Spaniards to terminate his contract and become a free agent.
It comes after Arsenal expressed interest in the Netherlands international, who has already rejected a move to Tottenham.
Eddie Howe has also been offered the chance to have Depay at Newcastle, although it remains to be seen if he will accept that proposition.
Furthermore, Juventus are interested in bringing the Dutchman to Turin.

SPORT add that Borussia Dortmund would prefer to sign the 28-year-old on loan if he doesn’t become a free agent.
Interest in Depay comes after he scored 13 goals in 37 appearances for Barcelona last term, in what looks very likely to be his final season at the Camp Nou.
Arsenal & Newcastle must be wary of Borussia Dortmund
In our view, Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Depay should spark some urgency into Arsenal and Newcastle.
The Bundesliga side did not expect to be without Haller after signing him from Ajax as recently as July, so with a quality option in Depay up for grabs, they will surely act on his availability soon.

That means Arsenal and Newcastle need to decide whether to get involved quickly, or they risk losing out to Edin Terzić.
Borussia Dortmund would also be able to offer Depay Champions League football, something the Gunners and the Magpies cannot.
Therefore, the Premier League duo are at serious risk of missing out with Borussia Dortmund sniffing around.
