Italian outlet TuttoJuve claim Manchester United want to re-sign Memphis Depay from Barcelona with Erik Ten Hag a particular admirer of his fellow countryman – after Depay said ‘no’ to Tottenham.
Depay, 28, has entered the final year of his contract at Barcelona – after penning a two-year deal with the Nou Camp side last summer. His first season was up and down, suffering numerous injuries but still managing to score 13 goals.
With Barcelona signing Robert Lewandowski and still boasting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he may look to depart. SPORT report that Depay has said ‘no’ to Tottenham for the time being, but could still be tempted by Spurs.

Now, TuttoJuve report that Manchester United want to sign Depay. Of course, Depay spent 18 months at Old Trafford between the summer of 2015 and January 2017 – playing 53 times, but managing just seven goals.
He may feel he has unfinished business at United. Ten Hag is said to want a versatile striker at Old Trafford and Depay fits the bill. SPORT report that Barcelona would accept offers of just £17million for the Netherlands ace.
Manchester United want to re-sign Depay: Said no to Tottenham
Manchester United need options up front. Edinson Cavani has left. Marcus Rashford, judging by his early performances under Ten Hag, is a left winger. Cristiano Ronaldo and Anthony Martial are the options.
But Martial has just returned from a loan at Sevilla and while he looks set to remain, he is hardly the long-term answer. Ronaldo could leave. A return to United for Depay would surely appeal to the Barcelona ace.
