According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal could now thwart the summer plans of Premier League rivals Liverpool, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Newcastle.
What’s the story?
Well, the Premier League quartet are all said to be interested in signing Eddie Nketiah on a free transfer when his contract expires next month.
It was 90min who claimed that Liverpool and Chelsea want to sign the 22-year-old on a free transfer, while Crystal Palace and West Ham are mentioned in the Daily Mail‘s report.
Elsewhere, it was the Mirror who revealed that Newcastle are keen.
Now, however, Arsenal plan to upset all of the aforementioned clubs.
The Daily Mail believe Arsenal are convinced that Nketiah will now stay at the Emirates Stadium following his strong end to the season.
In fact, The Athletic have since reported that the Hale End graduate is now on the verge of signing a new contract, which is big news.

Previously, the England Under-21 international expressed a desire to leave in search of regular first-team action, although it now seems like a U-turn may be in the offing.
In 28 appearances this season – most of which came from the bench – Nketiah impressively scored ten goals for the Gunners.
Arsenal must trust Nketiah if they spoil Liverpool, Crystal Palace, West Ham & Newcastle opportunities
In our view, if Arsenal convince Nketiah to change his mind and stay in north London, they need to reward him with regular first-team action.
It would be cruel if Mikel Arteta denied the youngster a fresh chance to kickstart his career elsewhere, only to use him sporadically again next season.

Interestingly, Arsenal are said to be in talks with Manchester City over a deal for Gabriel Jesus, which could already be placing some doubt in Nketiah’s mind.
The Gunners are also said to be leading the race to sign Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
Nevertheless, be sure to keep an eye on this saga, as the Arsenal No.30 should make a decision on his future soon.
