One of Arsenal’s best players since the restart has been Dani Ceballos. The Spaniard has controlled the midfield for the Gunners and has been one of the biggest reasons why their possession stats have been so good recently.
Ceballos is on loan from Real Madrid and he is expected to return to the Spanish capital at the end of this season. However, his chances of playing regularly at the Bernabeu is slim at best which boosts Arsenal’s odds of signing him permanently.
Mikel Arteta has claimed in recent weeks that he loves Ceballos’ passion for the game and the effort he puts in every time. (read here) The Arsenal boss also confirmed that they are in communication with Real Madrid over his future which is excellent news for the Gunners. (read here)
It does seem like Ceballos will be available on the transfer market this summer.
Marca claim that Ceballos is among the players who Real Madrid will sell this summer to raise funds. The Spaniard has no future at the club as long as Zinedine Zidane is in charge which opens the door for Arsenal.
La Liga sides Valencia and Real Betis are also in the race to sign Ceballos but Arsenal, thanks to Arteta’s trust in him, could push to complete a deal for him this summer.

The report claims that Real Madrid will seek £22.6 million for the midfielder which is a bargain price. Ceballos, still only 23, has a massive future ahead of him.
Arsenal will struggle to get a player of his quality, age and potential for a fee as low as that which makes a move for him a no-brainer.
El Desmarque claimed back in October that Real Madrid wanted £31.7 million for Ceballos. A £9 million discount in less than nine months time despite his improved form should be music to Arsenal’s ears, and they should do everything they can to secure his signing this summer.
