Amanda Staveley thinks that Liverpool striker Divock Origi would be willing to join Newcastle United, the Northern Echo reports.
Divock Origi to Newcastle?
Newcastle have apparently made Origi a target ahead of the January transfer window, as they look to strengthen up-front.
Eddie Howe is said to have some concerns about Newcastle’s lack of cover for Callum Wilson.
The Magpies have Dwight Gayle as their only other natural striking option, so bringing in a new number nine has become a priority.
Origi is now firmly in Newcastle’s sights, as Staveley thinks that a move to St. James’ Park could appeal to the Liverpool back-up forward.
However, Jurgen Klopp is apparently reluctant to allow the Belgian to leave.
With Liverpool set to have to be without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the new year, due to their international commitments, there is a fear that letting Origi depart will leave them too short.

World class finisher?
Newcastle, therefore, could struggle to get a deal over the line – especially as they are eyeing up a loan move for the forward, who was described as a ‘world class finisher’ by Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders.
The Magpies may have had some hope of tempting Liverpool into a sale, but it seems unlikely that a temporary move will be granted.
That could send Newcastle back to square one, as they search to find a striker.
Howe’s side did at least look like they had plenty of firepower even without Origi at the weekend.
They hit three goals in his first game in charge against Brentford, but were unable to take the three points as their leaky defence let them down.
