Tottenham are now keen to sign Arsenal target Arda Guler – a player who was rejected by Everton following a recommendation from Cenk Tosun.
It was Tutto Napoli who revealed that Spurs want to sign the £25m-rated wonderkid, who is currently thriving at Fenerbahce.
Tottenham want Arsenal target who was rejected by Everton
Well, the Toffees will surely be kicking themselves after turning down the chance to sign Guler.
Ajansspor quote Tosun as saying: “Everton asked me last year (about some of Turkey’s most exciting young talent). I mentioned Arda from Fenerbahce. They looked but did not make a move because he was under 18.”
Now, Guler looks set for bigger things.
Fanatik believe Arsenal have scouted the 17-year-old sensation over in Turkey, although they now face competition from their bitter north London rivals Tottenham.

Tutto Napoli believe Spurs are ‘above all’ the other sides interested in Guler, which suggests they are either leading the race for his signature, or are simply the most determined to sign him.
The teenager – who already wears the No.10 shirt for Fenerbahce – has scored three goals in 13 appearances so far this season, while also providing one assist.
Tottenham or Arsenal could sign the new Özil
If you don’t know too much about Guler’s style of play, then perhaps a comparison to a household name would help.
As documented by the Express, the teenager has been likened to Mesut Özil, with the German even admitting that he believes the Fenerbahce No.10 will become a “world star” in future.
As quoted by Football London, Özil told Guler after one particularly bright performance: “A super goal and a super assist. Quality. You will be a world star.”
Clearly, Tottenham and Arsenal are monitoring a special talent, and it will be interesting to see who wins the race for his signature.
