According to The Times, a loan move could be in the pipeline for Djed Spence at Tottenham, with Antonio Conte unconvinced by the youngster.
Tottenham want to loan Djed Spence
Well, it is said that Spurs want the England Under-21 international to go out on loan in January, due to a lack of game time following his £20m move from Middlesbrough.
Spence has played just three minutes of Premier League football since arriving in north London, with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty preferred to him in the right-back department.
Alasdair Gold told Tottenham fans on Football London that the 22-year-old had not impressed Conte since his move to N17, whereas Dean Jones added that the Italian had no say in bringing the defender to Tottenham.
More recently, the 53-year-old praised Spence, and said that he is “starting to understand” what is required to make it in the Premier League.
Football London quote Conte as saying: “Also Djed, he’s working and he’s improving and he’s starting to understand which is the demand to stay at Tottenham. I’m pleased to have more options.”
Despite that, it seems Tottenham still want their No.24 to get regular first-team football elsewhere on loan.

In our view, Spurs may not be able to loan Spence.
The topic of a temporary move was also present shortly after his arrival from Middlesbrough, although Gold informed supporters on his YouTube channel that the London-born defender had “no desire” to leave on loan.
Football London’s Tottenham correspondent said: “I was speaking to people around him again this week and there’s no desire to go on loan or anything like that. I don’t know if he could even go to another English club, he’d have to go abroad, but there’s no desire to do that.”
Spence clearly believes in himself, as do we – surely he could deliver better performances than the dire displays Emerson Royal has been churning out?
