James Milner still hasn’t been joining in with full-training at Liverpool, meaning that he looks a real doubt for the weekend, the Daily Mirror report.
Milner still sidelined
Milner was spotted at the AXA Training Centre yesterday, which sparked suggestions that he could return from injury ahead of schedule.
However, the latest update suggests that Liverpool’s experienced utility man is still another fortnight away from being fully fit.
Milner, who is on a £140,000-a-week contract (Spotrac), has undergone some individual sessions, but he is not yet training with the full group.
That may not have been an issue earlier in the season, but with injuries stacking up at Anfield, his absence is a concern.
A blow for Liverpool
Milner’s ability to cover at left-back and in central midfield could have been very useful for Liverpool right now.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are without Andy Robertson, while numerous options in the centre of the pitch are sidelined.
Liverpool are also in a position where experienced heads could be key.

The Reds have come unstuck in recent weeks, after a draw with Brighton and a defeat to West Ham United.
Klopp’s side have gradually started to slip down the table after a bright start, and they face a tough test at the weekend.
Liverpool are set to take on an Arsenal side who have been in flying form of late.
The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 10 games and if they can win at Anfield they will actually leapfrog Klopp’s men in the Premier League table.
