Ahead of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Arsenal, BT Sport asked Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to send a warning shot to the Gunners.
The Gabon international was told to say “Arsenal, nothing personal. I’m back, I’m blue, I’m ready, let’s go” ahead of the London derby at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, ahead of his first meeting with the Gunners since leaving.
It was a controversial advert, with Gabriel Agbonlahor labelling it as “strange” given the fact it could easily backfire on Aubameyang.
The 33-year-old seemed pretty confident when saying the line, although some behind the scenes footage has emerged which hints at how he really felt about doing it.
Aubameyang sheepish in Chelsea vs Arsenal promo
Well, a video has emerged which shows the BT Sport film crew directing Aubameyang to say the aforementioned words, and his reactions are telling.
As you can see, the Chelsea No.9 knows he is risking the fury of Arsenal fans – and also perhaps some of the players – by agreeing to do the advert. His body language speaks volumes.
Aubameyang frequently laughs and bows his head sheepishly when being asked to say the lines, as he knew comments like the aforementioned remark from Agbonlahor would come his way.
Nevertheless, he is a character – a confident one at that – who will surely back himself to score tomorrow.
Aubameyang will be fired up for Chelsea vs Arsenal
After being stripped of the captaincy and having his contract terminated at the beginning of 2022, Aubameyang will surely be motivated to prove Mikel Arteta wrong in west London tomorrow.

That will worry some Arsenal fans, as – for all his flaws – he certainly knows how to score goals.
After Manchester City snatched all three points against Fulham in the dying stages earlier today, the Gunners must beat the Blues – shackling Aubameyang will go a long way in securing the victory.
