Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister has responded cryptically to suggestions Borna Barisic could be on his way out of Ibrox before the transfer deadline after the Croatian cut an emotional figure at full time of this afternoon’s 1-0 win over Celtic.

Barisic was teary-eyed and embraced the Rangers staff before making his way up the tunnel and McAllister did little to draw a line under suggestions the Croatian has played his last game for Rangers.
While McAllister wouldn’t be drawn on Barisic’s future, he did admit that it was “good to see” to Ibrox star put in a better performance after a poor start to the season
“You never know,” McAllister said when asked about the possibility of an Ibrox exit for Barisic.
“What I would say, that just might be a wee reminder to himself that that’s his level.
“That was Borna Barisic back at his very best. And it’s good to see.”
The defender joined Rangers from NK Osijek in 2018 and, after a tough maiden season in Scotland, has been a vital player for Rangers in the last two years.

At 28, Barisic’s potential resale value is as high as it ever will be but it would be a big disappointment for fans if the left-back is sold before the window closes.
With only Calvin Bassey as cover, an exit for Barisic would leave the Gers a bit light on options unless the Light Blues have an alternative lined up.
