Rangers are set for a huge squad overhaul this summer as Philippe Clement prepares his squad for another title push in Scotland.

The Ibrox side fell just short of regaining the title with arch-rivals Celtic pipping them to league glory in the final weeks of the season.

Rangers have since turned their attention towards rebuilding their squad under Philippe Clement after the Belgian boss showed signs of promise last season.

An exodus from Ibrox is already underway with first-team duo John Lundstram and Borna Barisic leaving and joining Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Upon his arrival in Turkey, Lundstram explained what was said with teammates ahead of his Rangers exit.

Another Rangers star that has left this summer is goalkeeper Robby McCrorie, who has moved across Scotland to join Kilmarnock.

Kilmarnock boss reveals Robby McCrorie ‘sacrifice’

It was announced on Wednesday evening that Kilmarnock have signed McCrorie to a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old left in pursuit of more first-team football after appearing only once for Rangers last season.

Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes has spoken out on the move and revealed that McCrorie took a ‘huge’ financial hit to get the deal over the line.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think we’ve done really well to pull this transfer off.

“We’ve got to thank Rangers for their co-operation. Robby himself has made a huge sacrifice in terms of financials to make this happen which says a lot about him to be honest.

“I think we’ve done really well to pull this transfer off and I am really looking forward to working with him.”

Going off McInnes’ words, it appears as if McCrorie took a significant wage hit to leave Rangers this summer.

Rangers will have no shortage of goalkeeping options provided they keep hold of Jack Butland this summer and cutting McCrorie off the wage bill could open up opportunities for new signings this summer.
