Rangers winger Jordan Jones could be offered an Ibrox escape with Wigan reportedly set to launch a bid to sign the Northern Irishman.

Jones has struggled to nail down a place at Ibrox since his move from Kilmarnock two years ago and was shipped out on loan last season.
According to the Daily Record, Wigan are keen to take him to the DW Stadium and are plotting a move.
The 26-year-old has featured for the Light Blues so far in pre-season but his long-term Rangers future has looked ropey for a while after a number of off-field issues.
The Record report goes on to add that Wigan watched Jones extensively during his time on loan with Sunderland last season.
With the likes of Ryan Kent, Ianis Hagi, Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala all likely to feature ahead of Jones, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him move on this summer.

A loan move is a possibility but it seems more likely that Rangers will look to move Jones on permanently after his disappointing spell at Ibrox.
Jones wouldn’t be the first ex-Ger to arrive in Wigan in recent seasons with Joe Garner and Josh Windass both heading there while Kal Naismith and Lewis Macleod all having spells with the Latics.
