Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.
Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Liverpool have had Tottenham’s number at Anfield in recent years and they need to raise their game here. The Reds have not won in 2017 but have played well against Chelsea and Manchester United. Back Jurgen Klopp’s side to pull off an unlikely victory.

The Reds’ winter of discontent is showing no signs of ending. Another defeat, this time at Hull City, means Liverpool host their top four rivals low on confidence and energy. An energised, hard-working Spurs team could take full advantage on the counter.

Liverpool 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur
Liverpool have tended to perform against the bigger sides in the Premier League this season and been found wanting against the lesser sides, but I think that trend may end against Spurs and Anfield. Tottenham are consistent and keep plugging away, whilst Liverpool are hurting. Another well-drilled Pochettino performance should see the North London side emerge with at least a point.
Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
This is a massive six-pointer and I can’t see either team losing, such is the importance in the battle for the top four. Liverpool are on a slump but home advantage will help them to a share of the spoils.
Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
The clash of the weekend is a must win match for Liverpool, who haven’t won in five. Klopp’s team will threaten, but they are up against the best defence in the league. Spurs will fancy their own chances of exposing the flaky Liverpool backline as well, and a point for them, although not ideal, represents a good result.

Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Liverpool look a different side to the one discussed as title contenders pre-Christmas, but I’m not sure they’ll lose another home game as good as Spurs are. A win for the visitors, however, would underline their credentials as title contenders.
