Reported Arsenal and Tottenham target Andrea Belotti could leave Torino as a free agent next summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian reporter posted on Twitter that the Euro 2020 winner is ‘prepared to leave’ the Serie A side in 2022. Belotti’s contract expires next year, with Torino holding on for a €25m (£21m) transfer fee for the striker in January according to L’Interista.

However, as well as Romano, Torino manager Ivan Juric has also confirmed that the striker will decide on his future in the summer. The Serie A coach said: “Belotti won’t sign the contract extension. Andrea is not leaving in January. He’ll decide his future in June.”

As per Football Italia, Arsenal and Tottenham are both keen on Belotti. Moreover, two north London clubs were linked with the striker over the summer. However, the Italian international remained in Turin.

Indeed, with his contract set to expire, Arsenal and Tottenham both have the chance to sign Belotti for free. After all, with Torino demanding £21m for the attacker, the two Premier League sides could land a bargain in the striker.

Belotti has been one of the most consistent goal-scorers in Serie A since breaking through at Torino. Moreover, with the forward now entering the prime years of his career, the Premier League could be a good division for the 27-year-old.

Kane future should push Tottenham to beat Arsenal to Belotti

Both north London sides could be in the market for a striker next summer. However, given the situation surrounding Harry Kane, one could argue that Belotti would suit Tottenham much more than Arsenal.

With the Gunners set to lose Alexandre Lacazette, Mikel Arteta’s side still have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on their books as well as the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Folarin Balogun. And for Spurs, the Italian could be an ideal solution should Kane depart.
