Piers Morgan has a unique take on England ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinal clash.

England secured their spot in the semifinals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a gritty 2-1 win against Norway in the previous round.

Now, only the defending champions, Argentina, stand in the way of the Three Lions and a place in the final of the tournament.

Ahead of England’s most important game of the World Cup so far, veteran journalist Piers Morgan has found a new way to motivate star striker Harry Kane.

Piers Morgan urges Harry Kane to take revenge on the US

The US was one of the three host nations for the 2026 World Cup. While the USMNT has already been eliminated from the tournament, Morgan still seems to hold a grudge against them.

It has nothing to do with how the USMNT performed on the field. Instead, Morgan is still fuming over Donald Trump and many US citizens using their 250th independence anniversary to poke fun at England.

“England are two wins away from being crowned football World Champions in America, just days after the US celebrated 250 years of kicking us out,” Morgan said on X.

He added, “If that doesn’t inspire Harry Kane and his team to glory, nothing will. Come on, lads, do it for King George III.”

Well, like many countries, the US celebrates its independence from Great Britain every year. But with the ongoing World Cup, the Americans mocked their former rulers a bit too harshly.

This is evident from Morgan’s furious tweet, who wants England to win the World Cup for King George III, the British monarch who ruled over the American colonies.
