Tottenham Hotspur are going to be one of the most interesting clubs to follow during this summer transfer window.
Indeed, the London outfit have already secured two signings in the shape of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, while Yves Bissouma also seems to be on his way to north London.
Bissouma won’t be Spurs’ last addition either. According to numerous reports, Tottenham want to add a new dimension to their attack, and they’ve been linked with plenty of top-class wingers.
Richarlison, Raphinha and Allan Saint-Maximin have all been linked, and while any of those players would be exciting additions, one man may not be too impressed with these links – Dejan Kulusevski.
If Tottenham add a new quality attacker, you have to feel that Kulusevski’s spot would be at risk. After all, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane are untouchable at Spurs, and that feels very harsh.
Indeed, Kulusevski has not put a single foot wrong at Spurs since arriving in January, he’s been an assist machine, he’s popped up with important goals and he’s been very consistent down that right side.
However, you don’t spend big on players such as Raphinha or Richarlison just to leave them rotting on the bench, so if one of these linked attackers arrive, it could be Kulusevski who is relegated to a lesser role.
The ‘phenomenal’ winger will have a real battle on his hands to keep his spot in the XI, and while he’s been nothing but brilliant for Spurs, he may soon be sweating over his place in the team just six months after arriving at the club.
Football can be a cutthroat sport, and Kulusevski may be about to learn that the hard way.
