Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur could now reportedly be able to sign Raphinha from Leeds United for €50 million (£42.68 million).

Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in signing Leeds winger Raphinha in the summer transfer window.

The report claimed although Barcelona are keen on the Brazil international winger, there are doubts whether they would be able to afford him.

Sport have reported that Liverpool, Barcelona and Arsenal all want to sign Raphinha, adding that Leeds are now ready to sell him for €50 million (£42.68 million).

Earlier this month, the same publication claimed that Leeds wanted €65 million (£55.48 million) for the 25-year-old, and now it seems that they have decided to reduce their asking price.

Arsenal and Tottenham should pay £43m for Raphinha

In our view, if £43 million is what Leeds United are looking for Raphinha, then Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur should pay it.

The Brazilian – described as “a revelation” by former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane in Leeds Live in January 2022 – was superb for the Whites over the past two seasons and has proven himself to be a success in the Premier League.

Raphinha works hard, scores goals, creates changes, helps out defensively and is only 25.

The Leeds no. 10 has scored 17 goals and created 22 big chances in 65 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
