Pete Crow-Armstrong wrote his name in MLB history on Monday following his role in the Chicago Cubs’ win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cubs improved their record to 60-46 for the season and will be keen to extend that in their next three games against the Cardinals before facing the New York Yankees.
Crow-Armstrong will, however, have his eyes on the series at Wrigley Field against the Yankees and then the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed one of the best seasons in MLB in 2026 and is leading the Cubs to a spot in the post-season.
As Crow-Armstrong continues to deliver on the field, he now finds his name etched alongside the likes of Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth following Monday’s win.

Crow-Armstrong hit a homer in Saturday’s emphatic win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, but was walked twice on Monday against the Cardinals.
Being walked twice meant Crow-Armstrong joined Bonds and Ruth in recording multiple triples, 5+ HR, 5+ SB and 15+ BB in consecutive months.
Since 1900, only two other MLB players have achieved such numbers, Ruth in June-July 1920 and Bonds during May-June 1995.
It must be remembered that Crow-Armstrong is only 24 and is putting up numbers that place him in the conversation of some of the true greats.
The Cubs have two massive series ahead of them against the Yankees and then the Dodgers, which will provide Crow-Armstrong with the platform to make his case for the NL MVP.
Milwaukee Brewers still hold the lead in the NL Central, with the seriously impressive record of 66-40.
However, with a player of Crow-Armstrong’s calibre at their disposal, the Cubs will fancy their chances in closing the deficit over the coming months.
