New York Knicks star Josh Hart and Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell engaged in a hilarious back-and-forth.
Following the New York Knicks’ title-winning season, veteran Josh Hart is enjoying a terrific offseason ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Hart is using the offseason to engage in hilarious banter, and it’s hardly been restricted to basketball. This was proven once again when Hart called out Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell’s allegiance to the New York Mets.

Josh Hart pokes fun at Donovan Mitchell’s favorite MLB team’s lack of trades
With the MLB trade deadline approaching fast, the Mets’ lack of any major trades became a banter topic for Hart.
The Knicks star even tagged Mitchell on X, asking the Cavs star to urge the Mets to make a few trades ahead of the trade deadline.
“Yo, Donovan Mitchell, trade deadline coming up. Y’all might want to make a move… it’s looking dark at the bottom,” Hart wrote on X.
Initially, many thought that Hart was throwing shade at Mitchell’s time with the Cavaliers after they failed to land LeBron James, who ended up joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
But that wasn’t the case, and Mitchell understood that as the Cavaliers star gave a fitting response to Hart’s earlier jab, only to receive one brutal reality check about the Mets.
Considering Hart and Mitchell are close friends and entered the NBA together in 2017, it’s nothing serious as the two players enjoy some friendly banter during the basketball offseason.
