Fans at Comerica Park witnessed another defeat for the Detroit Tigers as the Baltimore Orioles rolled into town.
The two teams both sit under the .500 mark for the season and both sit fourth in their respective divisions.
However, the two struggling teams put on a show for fans at Comerica Park on Monday evening, with a special guest stealing the headlines.
A black squirrel made its way onto the field, which provided some extra entertainment as players and staff all struggled to capture the intruder.
This is not the first time a black squirrel has made an appearance at a Tigers home game, with the same happening just last season.
As staff made their attempts to capture the critter, it was one of the players who came closest to making the biggest catch of the night.

The staff at Comerica Park swarmed on the intruder and made an attempt to throw a tarp over it in a bid to get it off the field.
However, it was Orioles outfielder Leody Taveras who almost made the grab, with the squirrel bouncing off his glove.
After the game, Taveras admitted he was not actually trying to catch the squirrel.
“I just was trying to stop it. When it got into my glove, I don’t want to squeeze it, so I was just trying to bring it up. I wasn’t trying to do that. But they got it out,” Taveras said.
After the chase eventually came to an end, the Tigers’ mascot, Paws, was seen holding up a sign reading: ‘Free the squirrel’.
Third baseman Coby Mayo added: “I thought it was crazy.”
The game at Comerica Park provided plenty of drama on Monday evening, but it was clear that it was the squirrel chase that people enjoyed the most.
At one point there was in excess of 10 staff members at the stadium running around after the rodent, in what was essentially a slapstick comedy sketch.
Thankfully, the squirrel was captured unharmed.
