Tottenham Hotspur may ditch their interest in Antonio Nusa but could still land a wonderkid winger by moving for Copenhagen’s Roony Bardghji.

Tottenham continue to add top young talents and pulled off quite the hijack by beating Barcelona to the signing of Djurgarden midfielder Lucas Bergvall.

18-year-old Bergvall will join at the end of the season and gives Tottenham another top prospect to develop under Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs did eye up another promising signing in January as Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa was on the wish list.

Tottenham were moving towards signing Nusa before Brentford swooped in, only to see a medical problem scupper their move.

That combination means Tottenham are surely unlikely to go back in for Nusa in the summer but another winger could become the key focus…

Tottenham can now pivot to Roony Bardghji

If Spurs want a wonderkid winger then Copenhagen talent Roony Bardghji could be their man.

HITC Football understands that Bardghji is on Tottenham’s wish list and he has left the door open for a move to North London.

Bardghji has been superb this season, hitting seven goals in just 17 league games for Copenhagen whilst playing as a right-sided winger cutting in on his left foot.

The 18-year-old looks to have incredible potential and has already been branded ‘insanely exciting’ by Copenhagen sporting director Peter Christiansen.

Bardghji ticks the boxes for Tottenham after their move for Nusa broke down and a key figure here could be Johan Lange.

Tottenham’s technical director was key to the signing of Bergvall as the Dane used his knowledge of the Scandinavian market to great effect.

Lange wanted a Norwegian in Nusa but also fancies Swede Bardghji – and there is history between them.

Former Copenhagen boss Stale Solbakken once told BT that Lange travelled to Malmo to convince Bardghji and his family to commit to signing for Copenhagen.

Lange was described as being ‘persistent’ in his attempts to sign Bardghji, securing his signature before leaving to join Aston Villa.

Lange has been a fan of Bardghji for a long time and that history may well make the Swede a key target for Tottenham this summer.

Nusa would have been an exciting addition but having seen Bardghji make an impact in Copenhagen’s Champions League campaign, we would be just as excited to see him end up at Tottenham instead.
